The program received support from the NC Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts. Free. Open to the public. Storyteller Batt Burns & Friends at the Iredell County Public Library in Statesville

Irish storyteller Batt Burns, a professional storyteller who has appeared at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, will perform at the Iredell County Public Library in Statesville on March 20 at 4:00 PM. Batt’s wife, Maura Burns, an Irish singer and concertina artist, will also be featured in this program. And a group of Iredell County musicians who specialize in Irish music, including Veda Bafford on fiddle; Rick Bafford on guitar; Mary Umbarger on harp and autoharp; Harriette Andrews on dulcimer; Sarah Borders on hammered dulcimer; and William Mangum on penny whistle, will play some Irish tunes to kick off the performance. Batt Burns performance in Statesville is brought to you by the Iredell Friends of the Library and is free and open to the public.
