The Statesville Convention and Visitors Bureau (SCVB) wants to do everything possible to make your job easier. We are available Monday through Friday to offer assistance in planning your visit to the heartland and foothills of North Carolina. The following are some of the services we will be happy to provide for you free of charge.
 
Local Contact Assistance
At your request, the SCVB will be more than happy to assist you in finding the perfect hotel, restaurant, step-on guide, or attraction for your visit by asking our suppliers to furnish you with specific information on pricing that will meet the needs of your clients. We hope this service will save you valuable time and expenses.
 
Customized Tour Planning Assistance
Whether you are interested in arranging an overnight rest, a half-day city tour or an extensive three-day tour of the Piedmont and foothills, we can help plan your trip and customize your itinerary to meet your group’s specific needs.
 
Familiarization Tours & Site Inspections
The SCVB works with area hotels, restaurants, and attractions to plan and host familiarization tours of Statesville and surrounding areas. Staff members are available here at the SCVB to provide a personalized site inspection at your convenience. Please allow us here at SCVB to show you how to get the most out of your tour to our area.

St. Patrick’s Day Concert
March 19, 2010
Enjoy performances by the Statesville Traditional Irish Session and St. Joseph’s School of Irish Dance. The program received support from the NC Arts Council, an agency funded by the State of North Carolina and the National Endowment for the Arts. Free. Open to the public. Donations will be accepted at the door.

Storyteller Batt Burns & Friends at the Iredell County Public Library in Statesville

Irish storyteller Batt Burns, a professional storyteller who has appeared at the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, DC, will perform at the Iredell County Public Library in Statesville on March 20 at 4:00 PM. Batt’s wife, Maura Burns, an Irish singer and concertina artist, will also be featured in this program. And a group of Iredell County musicians who specialize in Irish music, including Veda Bafford on fiddle; Rick Bafford on guitar; Mary Umbarger on harp and autoharp; Harriette Andrews on dulcimer; Sarah Borders on hammered dulcimer; and William Mangum on penny whistle, will play some Irish tunes to kick off the performance. Batt Burns performance in Statesville is brought to you by the Iredell Friends of the Library and is free and open to the public. However, attendance will be limited to 100 people on a first come, first served basis. To reserve a seat for this program, please pick up a free ticket at the Iredell County Public Library, 201 N.
